Is Le Blanc Spa Resort the Best Adults Only All Inclusive Resort? (2024 Update)

Updated: Aug 18

I've visited a lot of resorts, and I keep going back to Le Blanc for some very good reasons! My first visits to Le Blanc were in 2020 when I went to Cancun and Los Cabos. Then I visited Le Blanc Cancun in July 2022 and March 2024 and Le Blanc Los Cabos in March 2023, and the love affair continues. I was at Le Blanc Cancun for 5 days and Le Blanc Los Cabos for 3 days. It was nice to get to know the staff a bit better on the longer stay. Although they will recognize you and address you by your name during a short stay, they really get to know your likes & dislikes on a longer stay, for an even better experience.

Is Le Blanc the best all-inclusive resort? It’s true that I haven’t visited every adults-only all-inclusive resort. It’s also true that based on the reputation of Le Blanc versus other resorts, my opinion will remain the same even after I visit the others. In 2020, I was able to visit Le Blanc Cancun, as well as Le Blanc Los Cabos, and I visited Le Blanc Cancun a second time in 2021 just to be sure I still loved it. I've only loved Le Blanc more after every visit!

Just because Le Blanc is my favorite doesn’t mean it’s for everyone or that I wouldn’t be able to match a client with another resort. Other resorts are wonderful--resorts I have visited, as well as resorts I have not visited. Le Blanc really resonates with me for a number of reasons, and as you continue reading, you will find out why.

Now seems like a good time to mention that because of my agency's affiliations, as well as my relationship with Le Blanc and Palace Resorts, my clients receive added benefits, such as a free room upgrade at time of booking and early check-in/late check-out. I also assist with restaurant reservations (and recommendations), as well as celebrating special occasions. Contact me to book! When you book with me, you pay the same as booking directly, which will include any current promotions PLUS the perks I can offer, in addition to my personalized assistance.

Locations

The only unfortunate thing about Le Blanc is that there are only two locations (3rd one to come soon in Turks & Caicos!!) . However, when those two locations are in paradise, maybe that’s enough. Le Blanc Cancun is in the Hotel Zone, which might be a turnoff to some people at first. However, it really is a positive thing. It is about 15 minutes from the airport, and the beaches are consistently beautiful. Because of how Le Blanc is situated, you won’t be bothered by any other nearby resorts.

Le Blanc Los Cabos is about 30 minutes from the SJD airport. While it is not in a busy hotel zone, there are a few other resorts nearby. It is also directly between San Jose del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas. This proximity makes it easy to venture off property for a sunset sail to The Arches or to treat yourself to one of the great restaurants in the area, like Flora Farms.

Food & Beverage

Le Blanc was the third all-inclusive resort I ever visited. The food at the first two was acceptable but not exciting. After checking in at Le Blanc, I had my first lunch at Terraza, their wood fire bistro that overlooks the pool and the ocean. The presentation, ingredients, and flavor of the food were all far above what I had experienced at any of the other resorts. Update: during my July 2022 visit, I was able to experience all of the restaurants, including Yama and Bella, where I had not dined before. They were both fantastic, and I was with a vegetarian friend who was also happy with her food!

The same is true for the spicy margarita I ordered from their menu of craft cocktails. I’m sure the bartenders will make you a Bahama Mama or a Long Island Ice Tea, but they’re not prominent on the menu. The menu clearly required some thought and creativity in its creation. Another thing worth mentioning is that when you go to the different restaurants, you’ll find different drink menus created for those restaurants. For example, the Italian restaurant won’t feature a margarita. Instead, you’ll find appropriate Italian cocktails, such as a Negroni.

Whether it was dinner at Lumière, the multi-course French restaurant, or in-room breakfast, the food was wonderful on my first stay at Le Blanc Cancun, as well as during my longer stay at Le Blanc Los Cabos. I’m not a picky eater, but I am picky about quality. I have never had a complaint about the food at Le Blanc. It is fantastic. Also, at most all-inclusive resorts, the wine list for included wines is non-existent. You can choose red, white, or maybe rosé. However, at Le Blanc, there is a respectable list of wines that are included, as well as a list of wines that would cost extra and they are all presented beautifully on an iPad.

Service

Just like my first meal at Le Blanc, the service is noticeably different from the moment you approach the building. I will pause here to say that one of the reasons I have fallen in love with Mexico is because of the quality of service everywhere. The people are kind and engaging, and they are happy to help. At Le Blanc, though, the service is over the top. After being greeted at the door, you are escorted to the check-in area, where you are given a welcome beverage, and a warm, weighted pillow is placed on your shoulders. You might not think you want anything warm on your shoulders in Mexico, but it is so relaxing!

From this moment on, the service is seamless. A bellman will escort you to your room if it is ready. If it isn’t ready, they will send you an email when it is ready, and someone will guide you to wherever you would like to go and wait (for me, it is always lunch). Upon arrival at your room, you get to know your butler, who will do anything for you from unpacking your bags, shining your shoes, preparing a bath, making dinner reservations, and more. They are unbelievably wonderful.

Regardless of where you are at Le Blanc, you receive excellent service. Another outstanding feature for me is the pool service. As you approach one of the pools, you will be greeted by a person who will help you find the perfect chair and will also set up towels and water, as well as an umbrella, if needed. While you might expect people to serve you drinks, this kind of service is unexpected. Don’t worry, the servers for food & drinks are also highly attentive at the pools!

Rooms

One of the first things I noticed at Le Blanc is how good it smells, and it inspired me to write a blog post about hotel fragrances, which certain high-end hotels use. Not only is there an intoxicating (but never bothersome) fragrance throughout Le Blanc, but you can order aromatherapy from a menu, which the butler will prepare for the room.

Other menus that are part of a Le Blanc room are the menu of soaps and the pillow menu. You have a choice of handmade French soaps, which the butler will cut for you and deliver to the room. This is in addition to the already excellent Bvlgari soaps and bath amenities in the room.

Of course, the room itself is beautifully appointed, from the marble bathrooms to the lighting, everything is set up for a luxurious, relaxing experience. The minibar is stocked with drinks, and there is a drawer with a variety of snacks, which is very important to me. Sometimes you just need a handful of peanuts, instead of sitting down at a restaurant for a quick snack! Even the lowest category room at Le Blanc is beautiful, luxurious, and has a great view. Update: my most recent visit included a stay in a wellness suite, which had a partial ocean view. I loved it because it was on a higher floor with ocean view to the left and lagoon view to the right (sunset to this side).

Pools

A pool is a pool, right? Not really. Many hotels and resorts have infinity pools, and Le Blanc is no exception. I already mentioned the excellent service at the pools, and another thing that sets Le Blanc apart is the vibe. You won’t find America’s top 40 blasting at the pool. Instead, you’ll hear a playlist that is clearly designed for relaxation. While the atmosphere is friendly, people tend to respect each other’s space, and the clientele aren’t typically too rambunctious. You might also find pop-up acts at the pool, such as a saxophone player or a man on stilts. You never know! Update: this is all still true. They still have occasional performers, such as a Mariachi band certain days. They also have some fun events, such as a seafood festival or a cart with churros.

Activities

Le Blanc’s activities really resonate with me. My ideal vacation day involves yoga, or another workout, preferably on the beach or with a view of the ocean. Nearly every morning at Le Blanc, there is a yoga class. If yoga isn’t your thing, there are other options. I have participated in classes on stand-up paddle boards, as well as a spinning class in the pool.

Personal training is also included with your stay, which I took advantage of when I was there last. The trainer was very helpful and worked with my specific needs and challenges for a really effective workout. It was a full hour, and it actually inspired me to continue more weight training when I got home. Update: on my most recent visit, I participated in Pilates and TRX classes, which were both excellent. My #1 tip is to make reservations for activities as soon as you can (upon arrival) since the classes can fill up!

Depending on which location you visit, you’ll usually find live music somewhere at night. At Le Blanc Los Cabos, Blanc Fire is such an ideal venue, with mixology and an amazing view of the pools and the Pacific. If you want to be in side, the Lobby Bar is a great place to be. At Le Blanc Cancun, the nighttime spots are Cavo and Lobby Bar. Also, tours can be booked either while at the resort or before arrival. A "luxury sunset sail" is available in Cancun and Los Cabos, and it's always spectacular. Update: on the most recent visit, my friend and I had a great time at karaoke at Cavo!

The Spa

Included in every stay at Le Blanc is complementary use of the hydrotherapy circuit, which you should absolutely take advantage of as much as possible. The butler will make an appointment for you. When you arrive, you will be guided through each step of the process, which includes sauna, steam room, ice room, hot tub, and probably some things I’m forgetting. It is extremely relaxing, and at certain points along the way, you are given products for your hair and skin to enhance the experience.

Of course, there is also an extensive menu of spa treatments available, and they are wonderful. Even as I visited during the COVID pandemic, everything was handled very well, and I felt safe and able to relax while having a massage. Update & pro tip: You can do hydrotherapy every day. I can make those reservations for you in advance!

Groups

Le Blanc is an excellent choice for a group trip, whether it is a corporate event, a bachelor/bachelorette party, a destination wedding, or a birthday celebration. In order to get group benefits, they require ten rooms, but smaller groups are also possible. I see many possibilities here. In addition to what I already mentioned, it could be a destination for a family reunion, a yoga retreat, class reunion, or just a group with friends.

If this sounds like exactly what you need, let's get you booked! As I mentioned before, my clients get added perks and upgrades, and I always make sure you get some extra special VIP treatment! Email or call me via the links at the top of the page!
